Hi, I’m Paul.

I’m a Colorado native from a family of ten. I have a wife and five grown children of my own. My wife and I enjoy traveling, home improvement projects, SCUBA, and being active in the beautiful outdoors. When I’m not with patients, I enjoy woodworking, art, music, and designing & building guitars. Here’s a little bit about my career and experience:

Paul Langfield, M.S., LMFT, NBCCH, CCTP:

Paul Langfield wears multiple professional hats, blending extensive graduate training with three decades of practical experience. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), National Board-Certified Fellow in Clinical Hypnotherapy (NBCCH), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and former Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-III) he brings a wealth of expertise to his work. Notably, Paul also draws from over 15 years of executive corporate leadership. Paul’s clinical training, combined with his naturally caring disposition and extensive experience, empowers individuals to achieve positive changes and personal growth.

After earning dual Bachelor’s degrees in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology, Paul continued his educational journey with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. His academic pursuits led him to Colorado State University (CSU), where he joined the faculty and became an accomplished researcher. Paul has presented at numerous national and international conferences and contributed to scientific journals, outreach articles, and the Handbook of Children’s Coping: Linking Theory and Intervention (part of the Issues in Clinical Child Psychology series). You can explore more of his published work through the PUBLICATIONS link provided below.

In the 1990s, Paul co-founded Stonehorse Relationship Center, a group practice, and also established the nonprofit helpline, LifeSource, Inc. Simultaneously, he maintained a thriving private practice and served as a Clinical Supervisor and Family Therapist at an inpatient addiction treatment center for adjudicated youth. In time, Paul extended his expertise to brain-injured individuals and their families as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Rocky Mountain Neuropsychological Sciences. Currently, Paul provides AAMFT-approved Clinical Supervision to independent therapists and to graduate therapists at Colorado State University’s Center for Family and Couple Therapy.

Beyond his professional roles, he actively contributes to his community. Paul serves as Chairman of the Board for the City of Loveland Communications Advisory Board (LCAB), provides guest lectures at local high schools, and teaches the Addictions unit in the graduate Psychopathology course at CSU.

Paul’s passion for people and relationships shines through, and he enjoys collaborating with corporations and non-profit organizations to enhance performance through team training and executive coaching.
